Vermont Countryside Tour
3 Countryside days & 2 Island days
Each Countryside ride begins north of The Notch in Jeffersonville with low traffic, spectacular scenery and provides the true quintessential Vermont. The Island rides scheduled on Tuesday and Thursday are easier recovery rides. Wednesday’s ride will determine if The Notch can be attempted on Friday.

Monday – Countryside Ride
Jeff to Fairfax begins close to the Lamoille River with mostly rollers, beautiful fields and fabulous mountains views. 24 miles R2 After returning to Jeff head up towards the Notch 30-34 miles R2
Tuesday – Island Ride
The South Hero ride travels past the colorful birdhouse forest (with dinosaurs!) and the Snow Farm Winery while right next to the water most of the time! Some people say it’s the best ride in the Islands. 20 miles R1, Continue up West Shore right next to the lake and cross over past Lover’s Lane. 25 miles R1
Wednesday – Countryside Ride
Jeff to Waterville and Belvedere by two covered bridges. This ride becomes more challenging into the ride and is a test for possible Notch climb Friday. 23 miles R2 Return to Hogback by Lamoille River. 33 miles R2 Continue towards Eden Pond. 33 miles R3 Complete circle through Eden. 42 miles R3
Thursday – Island Ride
North Hero, “The Jewel of the Islands”, heading south over the drawbridge to Grand Isle, riding both East Shore and West Shore Roads, Some people say it’s the best ride in the Islands. 26 miles R1 On to North Hero Marina and Two Heroes Tiki Bar. 32 miles R2
Friday – Countryside Ride
Jeff to Bakersfield is a beautiful countryside ride and quintessential Vermont with a challenging climb close to town. The view returning to Jeff is incomparable. 21 miles R2 Continue to West Enosburg or to East Fairfield. 26-34 miles R2
Climbing The Notch could be added on for 37 miles R4
