Smugglers Notch is a narrow mountain pass between Stowe and Jeffersonville VT
The most beautiful rides in Vermont
When someone asks Dean where he is from, he says “I grew up in Massachusetts, I live in New Hampshire, but my heart and soul are in Vermont.” His father grew up less than 20 miles from Smugglers Notch so he visited the area many times as a young boy, and it holds a very special place in his heart. Dean climbs The Notch many times a season, either on a tour or just by himself, and each time is truly amazed at how indescribable it is ascending to the top. He lives on Lake Champlain’s Grand Isle during the summer, crewing on sailing charters, and skis at Stowe Mountain Resort as often as possible during the winter.
Dean consistently excelled at customer service in every position throughout his career in the corporate world and brings the same attention to detail for each cyclist on his tours. He left that world behind to return to his roots and share his love of the area operating bicycle tours in Vermont to provide each and every cyclist the most amazing and memorable experience possible. Dean’s personal dreams of becoming a cowboy or a fireman never materialized. However, his love and passion for cycling is stronger than ever!
