Lake Champlain Island Tour
3 Island days & 2 Countryside days
The highlight of this tour is the Island Trail Bike Path on Friday which seems like you are actually riding on the water! All three rides on the Islands are right next to the water most of the time. Tuesday and Thursday we head north of The Notch in Jeffersonville for some quintessential Vermont rides with low traffic and spectacular scenery!

Monday – Island Ride
North Hero, “The Jewel of the Islands”, heading south over the drawbridge to Grand Isle, riding both East Shore and West Shore Roads, Some people say it’s the best ride in the Islands. 26 miles R1
Tuesday – Countryside Ride
Jeff to Waterville to Johnson via Hogback Road by the beautiful Lamoille River with fantastic mountain views. 20 miles R2
Wednesday – Island Ride
North Hero to Isle La Motte feels like stepping back into time. The highlight of this ride is unquestionably St Anne’s Shrine established in 1666. Regardless of your religious beliefs these grounds are beautiful, and quite humbling. 24 miles R1 Check out Alburg Dunes State Park which has best beach in the Islands 27 miles R1
Thursday – Countryside Ride
Jeff to Bakersfield is a beautiful countryside ride and quintessential Vermont with a challenging climb close to town. The view returning to Jeff is incomparable. 21 miles R2,
Friday – Island Ride
South Hero to the Island Trail Bike Path is truly amazing and feels like riding right on the water. The ride also travels past the colorful birdhouse forest (with dinosaurs!) and the Snow Farm Winery while right next to the water most of the time! Some people say it’s the best ride in the Islands. 23 miles R1
